Commissioned by Royal Auping, The Netherlands, JongeriusLab designed in 2001 ‘furniture as a second skin’ and not just like a functional object: clothing fuses with furniture to form one inseparable unit. The so called ‘Fashion Furniture’ is an experimental mix of bed and clothing – a mobile place to sleep that can be worn directly on the body.
