For two months JongeriusLab moved the entire office and atelier to a gallery: Vivid, in the center of Rotterdam. This move was a follow-up of the project ‘My Soft Office’, made in commission for the Museum of Modern Art New York. ‘Mijn Zachte Kantoor’ (Dutch for ‘My Soft Office’) was also the title of the experiment at Vivid.
What happens if you leave your private working place and move into a gallery?
In the two months that JongeriusLab spent at the gallery, private and public mixed together, co-workers and clients feel like friends and family. Questions arose such as - how private is the process of working and who’s joining us while we make a homemade soup between the design sessions?
