Atlantis Crystal commissioned in 2001 JongeriusLab with several other international designers for the project ‘Project 01’.
Under the theme’Quality for Everyday Living’ JongeriusLab designed a candleholder consisting of seven individual parts, all of them made out of crystal. Every piece is based on the archetype of a candle simply sticked on a plate.
Different techniques give each candle holder an individual appearance and refer to some of the possibilities to shape crystal surfaces: mouthblowned, sandcasted, diamantcutted, etc.
It depends on you whether you put the seven individual pieces together as one chandelier or let each of them hold a candle.
